This is top notch Pinot from South Africa. Brew Cru is dedicated to cool-climate wines from the Cape South Coast, sourcing grapes from maritime wine wards such as Elim and Walker Bay. Its winemaker, driven by a deep passion for Burgundy-style wines, strives to create wines true to their New World origins, but with the traditional elegance of the old world. This is a Pinot for the purists. It has wonderful ripe red and black fruit and South Africa's quintessential smoke. The palate gives a bang of fresh cherry, blackcurrant and a hint of savory and sweet spice catches you off guard. A delightful effort that will age well if you can wait that long.
