A premium German Weinbrand from Asbach of Rüdesheim am Rhein — the house founded by Hugo Asbach in 1892. A cuvée of various Asbach brandies in which the age statement describes the youngest distillate in the bottle; particularly old distillates give this specialty its character. Carefully selected wines are distilled in traditional column stills, then matured a minimum of 15 years in Limousin oak barrels. Gold Medal, 2014 World Spirits Competition.
Nose: Refined and expressive — dried apricot, orange peel, vanilla, and toasted oak.
Palate: Smooth and layered — caramel, roasted almond, cocoa, and baked apple, with gentle clove and nutmeg spice through the mid-palate.
Finish: Long, warm, and harmonious — lingering dried fruit, vanilla, and subtle oak spice.
Serve: A contemplative after-dinner brandy — neat in a snifter or tulip glass, allowed to rest several minutes before sipping.
ABV: 40% (80 Proof)
