Godello, Albariño & Treixadura
"This comes from the Cortezada vineyard, where white varieties have been planted because it’s slightly cooler than the surrounding area. It gets much less sun and the soils are deeper. This shows aromas of citrus zest, grapefruit, brine and subtle olives. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, vivid, fresh and delicious, with a clean and straightforward profile." - Jacobo Garcia-Andrade Llamas, JAMES SUCKLING
"The 2023 Finca Cortezada Algueira blends Godello, Albariño and Treixadura from Doade de Sober and Río Edo in Ribeira Sacra. Yellow-green in hue, it opens with a gunpowder note, followed by white fruit, acacia flower and terpene touches. It's medium-bodied and compact, with minerality adding structure. The 2023 has a medium finish with a rich and singular expression. The 14% alcohol is only noticeable at the finish. The 2023 compact, rich wine is distinct within an Atlantic context." - Joaquin Hidalgo, VINOUS MEDIA
A local wine, made with Godello, Albariño and Treixadura grapes from the vineyard of the same name; a spectacular, vertical plot of monumental terraces of magnetic beauty. Visitors will not forget it. Fermented in stainless steel to highlight its varietal character with a short ageing in stainless steel tanks. A young fragrant and intense wine with a formidable ageing capacity.
