History,
Single malt whisky produced by Eigashima Shuzo in Akashi, Japan Lightly peated to 10ppm Distilled twice in copper pot stills Aged 7 years in first fill ex-bourbon barrels Limited US release of only 492 bottles Non-chill filtered; 50% ABV The oldest US release from Eigashima Shuzo’s White Oak Distillery, this lightly peated single malt was aged entirely in first fill ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in a heavily spiced yet refined whisky.
Tasting Notes,
Pecans, stewed strawberries, allspice, and charred oak on the nose precede a spicy palate of clove, toasted black pepper, and vanilla bean; honey-drizzled peaches and grilled figs with a touch sea salt on the finish
