Winemaker Notes: They say that you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Our ESTATE wines serve
as that calling card, introducing the elegance and sense of place for which our Rheinhessen estate
is known. The grapes are all grown in our own vineyards, cultivated bio-dynamically and tended
by hand. They are exceptionally food friendly wines both in their youth and as they mature.
VITICULTURE & VINICULTURE
High quality wine doesn’t come on its own. It starts in our vineyards with yield reduction, hand selection of the fruit and a variety of other biodyn-friendly measures throughout the year. In the cellar, gentle pressing is followed by traditional vinification methods. The wines are primarily fermented in traditional large barrels.
"Aromatically the wine lifts with notes of lime, wet rock, and barely ripened tropical fruits. The palate is bright and mineral driven almost to the edge of vibration, with lingering flavors of under ripe kiwis and lime zest.
