WINE ADVOCATE 93 POINTS - "The 2023s reds are nicely crafted and show contained ripeness, good freshness and balance and integrated oak, coming through as powerful but elegant, and the 2023 Pintas Character, produced with grapes from five plots of old vines with mixed varieties, is a good example of it. It fermented in lagar and was foot trodden, then it matured in used French oak barrels for 22 months. It's medium- to full-bodied, with abundant, fine-grained tannins and with some sweet spices in the finish."
