This edition, titled The Golden Pharaoh, draws inspiration from ancient Egyptian design while delivering a bold rye whiskey finished in barrels seasoned with Egyptian black honey and tiger nut.
Every bottle of WhistlePig The Boss Hog XIII 'The Golden Pharaoh' Straight Rye Whiskey comes from a single barrel and is bottled at proof, allowing the whiskey to showcase its full barrel character. The rye begins in new American oak before receiving its distinctive finishing treatment, adding layers of molasses, honey, toasted almond, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking spice, and black pepper to the whiskey’s rye-driven structure.
The presentation is a major part of this release. The bottle features a pewter pharaoh topper etched with hieroglyphics, while the collector box opens like a tomb being unsealed, revealing dark exterior styling, jewel-toned interior artwork, hieroglyphic details, and a “Journey to the Field of Rye” design.
