Wayfarer's "WF2" wines are made using grapes from the same vineyard as Wayfarer's more luxurious bottlings, but is fashioned to be slightly more open-knit in its youth. Ages sur-lie for 10 months in French oak barrels (of which 10% were new), this wine displays fresh cut flowers and nectarines, with touches of vanilla cream and fresh pineapple that waft from the glass. The palate is fresh and lively, with lemon zest dancing on the tongue. The wine is richly textured, and
finishes with the fresh salinity of a coastal breeze.
