This delicious, naturally-made red is a taste of old Rioja! It comes from the Rioja Oriental (eastern part of Rioja), where Garnacha - not Tempranillo - has the starring role. Medium-bodied and juicy, it carries subtle, warm aromas of macerating red fruits and old oak barrels. The palate is lifted through the middle, with a generous depth and subtle complexity for an "everyday" wine, all leading to a clean & elegant finish that makes it easy-going on its own, though it's a fantastic partner with paella or a variety of savory tapas. Vinos en Voz Baja makes their wines with minimal manipulation: from organically farmed, old vines to foot-crushing and spontaneous fermentation in old oak vats, and ending without filtration before bottling. This contains natural wine sediment, so decanting (or pouring carefully) is suggested.
