The 2023 Cortell Rose Pinot Noir is Vincent's first bottling from this volcanic site near their winery in the Eola Hills. This organically-farmed vineyard is owned and farmed by noted viticulturist Jessica Cortell. A blend of mostly Pommard clone of Pinot Noir with some Wadenswil clone, aged 18 months in older French oak barrels in order to finish natural malolactic. Bottled without fining or filtration, and only minimum effective SO2 used.

ANTONIO GALLONI'S VINOUS MEDIA 94 POINTS - "Vincent Fritzsche did a fantastic job with the 2023 vintage. Fritzsche described a compressed season, recalling a “late spring, late budbreak and then record time to bloom.” Most of his sources are located in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, which was one of the most successful areas in this vintage."

"The 2023 Pinot Noir Cortell Rose Vineyard is remarkably pretty, showcasing sweet rose and lavender tones that give way to wild strawberries and a hint of pine. It smooths over the palate, dense yet lifted in feel, with perfumed inner aromatics and crisp raspberry fruit that slowly saturate. Peppery and intense, this Pinot Noir leaves a web of fine-grained tannins and pleasantly chewy resonance that lingers."
