JAMES SUCKLING 95 POINTS - "Aromas of sweet spices, savory red and black fruit and a touch of mussel shells. Medium- to full-bodied with fine-grained tannins and a saline yet velvety finish. Quite long and polished. Aged in 50% new oak."
Winemaker Notes - The color is deep violet red. There are intense aromas of sour cherry, cassis and strawberry that lead in to notes of caramel, clove, cinnamon, white pepper and graphite, accented by mint and rosemary. The palate is smooth with elegant, yet firm, tannins and intense flavors that continue to develop and evolve.
