Quite flavorful on the palate, with a medium to full body and masses of tight but small-grained tannins. Very long, tense finish with hints of walnuts and mussels at the end. Goes on and on. 66% cabernet sauvignon, 23% carmenere, 7% syrah and 4% merlot. 20% new oak barrels this year as opposed to the usual 15%. The rest is third-use, with some repurposed, re-toasted barrels. A very good value from VIK."
