Then raw meat and cherries emerge, together with coffee grounds and restrained chocolate. Full body with filigree elegance, firm and velvety tannins, a savory finish and refreshing, long and almost crisp acidity. Amazing finish. Meaty and savory. This wine is able to combine two powerful elements — early harvested merlot and a large proportion of cabs. As in the 1990 vintage, the blend here is 60% merlot, 30% cabernet franc and 10% cabernet sauvignon. Drink or hold."
