The Vieira de Plata ("silver scallop," symbol of the Galicia region) Albarino is light-bodied with the variety's classic zesty 'mineral' mouthfeel at the center, and a lean, fresh white nectarine fruit character that cleans up on the finish. Aging on the fine lees imbues it with a light, contrasting softness in texture, along with subtle savory flavor contributions that are floral and brioche-like. Served at a chill 52-54F, it's a great aperitif or brunch wine, and of course a great partner for shellfish.
