Twomey’s 2012 Russian River Pinot Noir, sourced from three separate vineyards, is bursting with flavor but not at all heavy: a clean, crisp beam of red fruit that picks up complex aromas of lilac, forest mushrooms and rosemary. It’s delicious already, though the oak feels more integrated with a day of air. With its restraint and classical balance, it should gain from a few more years in the cellar."
