Torre dei Beati is one of the icons of Abruzzo, sharing the Loreto Aprutino area with other benchmark wineries like Valentini, Amorotti, and Ciavolich. Let this open up in the glass a little and partner with simple meat dishes like in Abruzzese tradition: grilled lamb, pork “cif e ciaf” (a mix of pork cheek, belly, loin and ribs with white wine, rosemary, and dried sweet peppers) , and arrosticini (meat skewers).
VINOUS 92 POINTS - "The animalistic 2022 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo smolders up with mentholated herbal tones and a dusting of cocoa powder before giving way to dried black cherry and violet pastille aromas. It's round and soft in texture, with saturating red and blue fruits. A core of brisk acidity maintains fantastic balance. This finishes gently tannic and long, with a twang of bitter dark chocolate under an air of lavender. The 2022 makes for a wonderful introduction to the Torre dei Beati style." - Eric Guido
