Tolosa's No Oak Chardonnay is back! Well...sort of...technically this has a very small percentage of oak, but we couldn't even notice it when we tried this new vintage. This wine reflects minimal influence by winemaking to capitalize on the maximum expression of the fruit. The wine is fermented in stainless tanks at a very low temperature to let the true nature of the varietal shine. It is also aged in stainless steel tanks, on the lees to add complexity to the mouthfeel by offering a denser mid-palate.
Pale yellow in color with lemon-green highlights, this wine is clean on the nose with fresh aromas of fuji apple, meyer lemon and honeydew melon accented by notes of apple blossom, brioche, chives, and button mushroom. Medium bodied, concentrated fruit flavors of green apple, tangerine, lemon lime, and nectarine with refreshing acidity and an underlying chalky minerality.
