Why the name "Baby Batch"? Owner/winemaker Malek Amrani aged this wine in smaller oak barrels than typical (30 gallons vs the traditional 55 gallon barrels), then he bottled the wine exclusively in 375mL bottles!
This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a landmark of a vineyard, located roadside of Napa’s main Hwy 29 and Yountville Cross Road. Valley floor vineyard with an average vine age of 25 years old. Sustainably farmed and handpicked. Fresh, bright and generous on the nose with aromas of framboise, sun-dried tomato and ripe plum. On the palate, red and black berry notes intertwine into a sloe gin flavor before vanilla kicks in. The finish is rich, long, youthful and packs a big punch - in a baby bottle.
