D. Ventura's offerings are unoaked 100% Mencia sourced from organically farmed vineyards, fermented with native yeasts, and bottled without filtration or cold stabilization. Very dark, almost black in the glass. The nose makes an immediate impression of power with black raspberry, mocha and oak spice. Full bodied in the mouth with firm tannins that are immediately balanced by refreshing acidity that leads back to the dark fruits and spices on the nose. Leathery and seductive throughout with a stick to your teeth finish that lingers. Drink now through 2015 with full flavored red meat. 750 cases produced.
