ORGANICALLY FARMED & PRACTICING BIODYNAMIC
"The 2020 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Sant'Urbano is wonderfully perfumed, with a seductive bouquet of crushed violet candies, graphite, sweet smoke and wild blueberries. Seamlessly silky and polished, it sweeps across the palate with lifted textures and floral-laced wild berry fruits. The 2020 finishes with admirable length and potency, leaving crunchy tannins and a tactile mineral crunch. " - Eric Guido, VINOUS MEDIA
KERIN O'KEEFE 93 POINTS - "The vibrant and savory Valpolicella Classico Superiore Sant'Urbano from Speri opens with inviting aromas of red-skinned berry, star anise and cooking spice. Made from organically farmed grapes, the elegantly structured palate offers juicy red currant, ground clove and tobacco alongside polished tannins
This is one of the most significant Valpolicella Superiore in the area and is obtained from the grapes of the Sant’Urbano vineyard, a beautiful hill in the Fumane municipality where the vine seems to find its natural position.
After being carefully selected, the grapes are left to dry for around 20-25 days, concentrating the flavours and enriching the aromas and softness, which find the perfect balance after approximately two years of ageing. It is a wine which stands out for its remarkable elegance and complexity. This wine makes a delicious accompaniment to red meat dishes and matured cheeses and improves with age.
