JAMES SUCKLING - 90 POINTS The 2023 Blanc de Noirs is a pure Pinot Noir, mostly from the volcanic soils of the Bockenauer Stromberg. It was whole-bunch-pressed and made in stainless steel and used tonneaux. The pale golden wine has aspects of smoke and creaminess, with a beautifully dry, grippy palate that is most unusual for Blanc de Noirs. Fine brightness makes this into a slender, thrilling white. (Bone-dry). Stuart Pigott.

This zesty Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir) rose (a rose in name but not in appearance) is loaded with flavors of red fruit, tart cherries, citrus skin, and wet rocks. Fruit comes from 40-year-old vines rooted in volcanic soils and is vinified like a white wine (direct press, not skin contact). This is one of our favorite German roses on the market. The 2023 Blanc de Noir trocken is pure Pinot Noir from the porphyry soils of the Stomberg. Predominantly vinified in stainless steel, the 2023 shows a delicate and flinty bouquet of yellow cherries, mocha and red berries. Light but creamy and textured on the palate, this is a pure, saline and finely grippy Pinot with lush and delicate fruit and a fine, aromatic finish. Filigreed and perfectly round. 12% stated alcohol. Screw cap.
