History, Salvadores Tepeztate is produced by Flavio Pérez Méndez and his family. This mezcal is traditionally produced in Tlacolula de Matamoros. The agaves are cooked in an underground pit oven, milled by tahona, fermented with open air yeasts, and double distilled in copper stills.
