Salvadores Ensamble 4 Blend is a limited micro-batch artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico. It combines four wild agave species: Jabalí, Tepeztate, Mexicano, and Cirial, bottled at 49.1% ABV.
Blend Composition
Jabalí (Agave convallis): Wild agave known for complex, unpredictable fermentation and savory profiles.
Tepeztate (Agave marmorata): Slow-growing wild agave (up to 25+ years) offering deep mineral and floral notes.
Mexicano (Agave rhodacantha): Large wild plant bringing bright fruit and herbal qualities.
Cirial (Agave karwinskii): Tall stalk agave adding dense, earthy, and structural depth.
Origin: Tlacolula de Matamoros, Oaxaca, Mexico.
This is a bold and expressive blend of Jabalí, Tepeztate, Mexicano, and Cirial. The nose opens with bright herbal notes—eucalyptus, and lemongrass—layered with the funky florals of Jabalí, ripe tropical fruit like overripe pineapple, and an earthy minerality reminiscent of wet stone and roasted agave.
On the palate, it’s spicy and vibrant, bursting with tropical layers of guava, lychee, mango, baked banana, and a playful hit of tutti frutti. As it opens, more complexity unfolds: stone fruit, a touch of anise, menthol, and citrus peel.
The finish is long and dynamic, shifting from sweet to herbal to astringent and spicy, with notes of piloncillo, jalapeño, green pepper, and a distinctly estery character.
Agave Age: Jabali 16 years / Tepeztate 22 years / Mexicano 15 years / Cirial 13 years
