Why the H? Rhum Agricole (as opposed to good ol' Rum) is a made from the fresh-pressed cane sugar juice whereas traditional rum is made from molasses (the leftovers from making sugar from the cane). This creates a much more forward, vibrant and stronger-flavored spirit when compared to traditional rums-- agricole rhums have their own 'funk' (much in the same way Jamaican rums have their own 'funky' flavors) that many in the rum/rhum community love. If you're unfamiliar with Rhum Agricole this would be a great introduction-- it's an easy sipper, will mix well with others (cocktails, baby!) and the price is phenomenal.
Appearance: Clear, bright, crystalline.
Nose: Aromas of freshly-cut sugar cane, slightly peppery, spicy, floral, fruity notes.
Palate: Bold, smooth, warm attack, typical fruity aromas. Good length.
