JOHN GILMAN 90 POINTS - "Pierre-Jean Roty always gives his Marsannay Rosé a nice, long élevage in casks in the cellar, rather than aging it quickly in stainless steel tank for early drinking. So this wine was given eighteen months aging in three and four year-old barrels prior to bottling. The 2023 vintage is a fine bottle, offering up a deep salmon color and a complex bouquet of cherries, rhubarb, a touch of blood orange, a lovely base of soil and just a whisper of oak from its aging in older casks. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and succulent at the core, with a good base of soil, fine focus and balance and a long, zesty and classy finish. A lovely example that will actually age very well indeed. (Drink between 2026-2035.)"
