A vanilla rompope from Rompope Coronado S.A. de C.V. of San Luis Potosí, Mexico — the 100% Mexican-owned company founded in 1955, whose rompope has been a fixture of Mexican households for over 70 years and leads the category nationwide. Rompope itself traces to the 17th-century Convento de Santa Clara in Puebla, where Poor Clare nuns adapted Spanish egg punches with local vanilla, rum, milk, and eggs. Coronado's version is made with whole cow's milk, 8% fresh egg yolk, sugarcane alcohol, and sugar — thick, creamy, and velvety, with characteristic vanilla notes.
Character: Sweet and thick with a luxurious, velvety consistency — cream-forward with warm vanilla aromas.
Serve: Chilled neat, over ice, or mixed with rum, brandy, vodka, or coffee; a holiday classic enjoyed year-round.
Awards: Gold Medal, Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2021 (Coronado rompope range).
ABV: 10% (20 Proof)
