The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées presents a pretty nose with notable purity of fruit, featuring raspberry and wild strawberry and a hint of cassis lingering in the background, becoming quite floral with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded, slightly confit-like entry. Perhaps this is a little sun-kissed compared to other cuvées due to the late-season heat wave, though I appreciate the spiciness that defines the finish.
