VINOUS 91 POINTS - "...a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 15% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Blanc aged on the cork. It offers fine textural depth along with the lightly oxidative notes one might expect given aging on cork. Dried orchard fruit, spice, orange confit and light caramel overtones caress the palate."
An oenologist and agronomist, Remi Leroy was trained in Bordeaux. Along with his father they manage their family vineyards of 8 hectares in Meurville, Côte des Bar. The terroir is exceptional, composed of clay-limestone from the Jurassic period. Their flagship grape is Pinot Noir (72% of their vineyards) which is the star grape in the region, the rest being 20% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Meunier. Remi and his father and working on replanting Chardonnay to give more diversity to their winemaking. Their wines are simply superb and speak for themselves.
