Fleur de Miraval is the Rosé-focused Champagne house run by Rodolphe Péters (Champagne Pierre Peters), Marc Perrin (Domaine Beaucastel) and film legend Brad Pitt. The trio's critically acclaimed, multifaceted "Exclusivement" rosé was Fleur de Miraval's original triumph but that gem carries a nearly three-hundred-dollar price tag. Last year the group outdid themselves with the release of "Peite Fleur," a new, companion offering that showcases the house style beautifully at about a third of the cost of "Exclusivement." This pale-colored bubbly is simply delightful as it possesses just the right balance of pristine red fruits, acidity and minerality to work well with a wide range of appetizers as well as numerous main course dishes: poached salmon, roasted lamb and braised chicken come to mind! We are sure that you and your favorite someone will fall in love with this beauty as much as critics James Suckling and Alison Napjus did.
JAMES SUCKLING 94 POINTS - "This is a new classic rosé from Fleur de Miraval with rose petals, iron shavings and some orange peel. Medium-bodied with zesty orange peel, rose petal, chalk and hibiscus on the palate. Dried strawberry and iron. Lovely balance of acidity. Juicy. Lightly dry finish. Based on the proprietary reserve. White from 2019 and red 2019 blends. All Cote de Blancs and Pinot Noir from Vertus. October release. Drink or hold."
WINE SPECTATOR 93 POINTS - "An elegant Champagne, offering a fine, lacy mousse and a lively but still delicate frame of acidity for notes of apricot and wild cherry fruit, grated ginger and pink grapefruit zest. Simultaneously, this has an underpinning of toasted nuts, smoke and chalk adding richness and depth. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Drink now through 2026. 3,500 cases imported."
