ANTONIO GALLONI - VINOUS 93 POINTS The 2024 Riesling No. 6 Senior was harvested from over 70-year-old vines in the Ayler Kupp. Lauer thinks this is the most moderate-alcohol wine he has made from the site. The nose is still yeasty, with smooth, creamy stone fruit, juicy Reine Claude plum and a touch of candied Angelica, all greenish but mellow. The palate is beautifully precise and bright, carrying its Riesling verve with a disarming smile. Finesse, substance, stoniness and precision come with aroma and grip. The 2024 is wonderful, with a gorgeous lemon streak. (Bone-dry). Drink date: 2025-2050
