Oban 12 Year Old ‘Heart of the Harbour’ was matured entirely in bourbon casks to preserve all that lovely distillery character and celebrate its coastal heritage. Expect a lot of toffee sweetness and bright citrus. Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt Nose Lemon oil and orange peel are joined by salted caramel, vanilla custard, and a light maritime freshness. Hints of nutmeg and honeycomb drift in. Palate Bright and welcoming, with vanilla fudge, orange marmalade, and lemon zest. Sea salt crackles through, with subtle oak spice and toasted almond. Finish Medium length, with lingering citrus zest, brine, and creamy toffee.
