Another accolade worth noting: according to Nielsen, Nortico is also the #1-selling Portuguese white wine above $12 in the U.S., and it has become one of the top-selling white wines on our wine ramp too.
Made from estate-grown Alvarinho in Portugal’s Minho region, the wine is made entirely without oak to preserve Alvarinho’s natural freshness and aromatics. After the grapes are carefully selected at the winery, the juice undergoes a long, cool fermentation, followed by racking, filtration, and cold stabilization. It then rests for four months in stainless steel before a final filtration and bottling.
Minho sits at the northern edge of Portugal, surrounded by mountains that create a protected microclimate ideal for Alvarinho. The region receives the right balance of rainfall, warmth, and sunlight, while hot days and cool nights during ripening help the grapes develop bright fruit flavors without losing their refreshing acidity!
Nortico is bright, crisp, and incredibly refreshing, with lively citrus, ripe stone fruit, and a clean mineral edge. You can enjoy well chilled on its own, but its freshness and acidity also make it an easy match for seafood, salads, grilled vegetables, and lighter dishes.
