NETA Tepextate was distilled by maestro mezcalero Hermógenes Vásquez in May 2018 and yielded 200 liters. Maguey Tepextate is a type of Agave marmorata that grows throughout many different regions of Oaxaca. This plant is one of the lowest-yielding varietals used in the production of mezcal. In Miahuatlán, maguey Tepextate is sometimes found at lower elevations and can be found growing alongside aromatic herbs and plants, such as verbena, copal trees, and wild chiles.

Tasting Notes,

Nose: Nice balance of green pepper, icing sugar, grated parmesan and olive oil.

Palate: A massive blast of vanilla icing. Canned pear juice. There are some good green/vegetal and floral notes. Peppermint heat and tobacco finish.
