The Aligoté vines come from the commune of La Rochepot in the Hautes-Côtes. They are on average 40 years old, have high vines (2m) and have been cultivated/certified organically for almost 15 years. These are very stony and steep soils, facing South-West. WINERY NOTES
The Bourgogne Aligoté from Domaine Morey-Coffinet is a little nugget. Precision, brilliance, in the style of the estate. Thibault Morey is part of this young generation of Burgundy winemakers who are reorienting the family estates, both in terms of culture and aesthetics of the wines. Since his installation in his father's footsteps, Thibault has switched the estate to biodynamics, lengthened the ageing, drastically reduced the sulphur (he no longer uses it at harvest). Today, the host of magnificent terroirs of the estate express themselves with brilliance, with wines that find their balance between fullness and tension. The energy, the wine salivating does not detract from the pleasure of the fruit, the aromatic expression, the detail. Hedonistic wines as can be.
