Mocali was one of the founding estates of the Brunello di Montalcino governing body. This bottling comes from their Maremma coast vines near the ancient town of Scansano. Driven by the local Sangiovese (known as Morellino) and aged in larger French oak casks, it has Italy's classic firm texture of tannins and savory finish along with subtle hints of vanilla, tobacco and coffee. A fantastic wine for a range of meaty dishes!
