DECANTER 93 POINTS - "The 'entry-level' Volnay is anything but, with pronounced purple and black fruit aromas accented with a hint of black tea and liquorice. The texture has subtle, grippy tannins, balanced acidity and a lingering finish. The grapes are from 1.7ha of vines spread over six lieu-dits including Les Famines, Les Buttes and Des Cros Martin. The grapes are destemmed and gently fermented before ageing in used casks. This wine should be approachable soon after release and is perfect for mid-term ageing."
