VINOUS 91 - 93 POINTS - The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs Gains 1er Cru sprints out of the blocks on the nose with lively peach skin, citrus peel and crushed stone scents—très Puligny. The palate is slightly pithy and very well balanced, with good body and plenty of extract alongside a vibrant mineral-rich finish. This is actually better than the 2022—recommended. Drink: 2026-2044."

DECANTER 94 POINTS - "According to Jean-Baptiste Bouzereau, 'This is the Grand Charron of our premiers crus,' referring to the approachable, Meursault-like character, which delivers lush aromas of ripe apples, acacia flowers and a balanced acidity that lead into an impressively long finish. The grapes are from 0.43ha, fairly low on the slope of Champs-Gains, close to La Truffière; they are slowly pressed and fermented in cask, 25% new. The wine ages a year in cask and another four months in tank before bottling. Drinking Window: 2030-2050."
