The texture is substantial, but the admirable tension keeps the wine lively and fresh on the palate. The grapes are from a half-hectare of vines planted in clay and limestone soils, the oldest of which was planted in the 1950s; they are gently pressed before fermentation and ageing in cask (25% new) over two winters."
