DESCORCHADOS 94 POINTS - "Finca Drummond, in the Luján de Cuyo DOC, is the base—at least 80% of the volume of this malbec from very old vineyards planted in 1928, while the rest comes from much younger vineyards in the Altamira zone of the Uco Valley. The 2021 season was cool and produced wines (in the best cases) loaded with radiant and refreshing red fruits, even in Mendoza's warmer lower zones, such as Drummond, and even in wineries that are not characterized by that style, such as Mendel. Here there is juiciness and energetic acidity in a red that drinks very fluidly."
