This rum is from a 'big box' store that decided to discontinue the product. We almost passed on purchasing it, but after doing some online sleuthing, we discovered that there is a huge demand for it to be brought back. So, we are giving the people what they want-- and at an even lower price than what the aforementioned store was selling it for.
This is a great rum to make some classic rum cocktails with during the hot August days and nights. Cocktails like the Mojito, Daiquiri, Cuba Libre, Pina Colada or the Caipirissima (like Brazil's lovely Caipirinha but utilizing a light rum instead of cachaça). And it just may help conjure up and deliver visions of Caribbean beaches, endless sands, trade winds and well-prepared lounging during the Dog Days this month. And it's a 1.75L bottle!
