One of the first two cane varities the Mater team reintroduced to Sicily, once a great sugan cane growing island with a diversity of terroirs perfect for the crop. It suits that they aim to preserve its pure, vivid and complex flavors then by growing it and producing it as naturally as possible. This 2024 harvest bacth is the result of a very slow and balanced fermentation and single pot distillation. Bottled at natural still strength of 52.8% abv. The nose is elusive and spellbinding with notes that surface ranging from fruity olive oil, coconut shells, banana leaf and sharp verdent fresh herbs. The palate is the counterpoint with a soft volumptuos texture, sweet sunkissed citrus inflected flavors and a buttery salted caramel finish with lingering minerality. Stunning.
