Massican is proud to source the grapes for this wine from Hyde Vineyard, one of the most famous and historic Chardonnay vineyards of California founded by Larrry Hyde in Carneros in 1979. Tucked away in the southern part of Napa Valley, the entire estate is a gorgeous expanse of rolling hills with southeast exposure and saline morning fog. The parcel of Musque clone of Chardonnay that makes up this bottling was planted in 1992. The wine is fermented and aged in French Oak, then bottled as this single vineyard wine. Separately, a portion of the Hyde Chardonnay is set aside each year to blend into one of the Massican white wine blends, Annia.
