A Williams pear eau-de-vie from Distillerie Massenez of Val de Villé, Alsace — a family of distillers since 1870, when Jean-Baptiste Massenez first established the house; his son Eugène became official supplier to the Swedish Royal Court in 1913, and the third generation carried Massenez into the world of fine gastronomy alongside Paul Bocuse and the great Michelin-starred chefs. Distilled from Williams pears in the traditional Alsatian eau-de-vie manner and left unaged, preserving the crystal-clear, true-to-fruit character the house describes as outstandingly refined, concentrated, and balanced — an intense flavor faithful to the personality of the original fruit.
