MARVLA TINDO 2018 PROZA WHITE NATURAL WINE, SLOVAKIA

This is a crisp, very dry petillant (slightly sparkling) white from Slovakia (Slovenska). This natural wine displays apple-like aromas and flavors. It is made from Italian Riesling, Rhine Riesling and Pesek Leanka all spontaneously fermented (without commercial yeasts and enzymes) in stainless steel tanks, then aged on the sediment. A small percentage of oak aged Red Traminer from the previous vintage is added to the blend. The wine is bottled towards the end of fermentation so that a small amount of bubbles are produced to protect the wine.
