Guillaume d'Angerville farms more than a hectare of white grapes in Santenots, originally planted with Chardonnay by his grandfather, Sem d'Angerville, in 1905. He maintains the tradition in fine form, and the 2023 is a delight, with ripe, buttery apple fruit aromas and a hint of hazelnut. The texture is rich and supple, luxurious rather than racy, yet this wine will begin to open in three to five years but should also have the substance to age for the long term."
