This potent but energetic Barbera combines aromas of plum, ripe cherry, violet, along with hints of tobacco, cocoa, leather and anise. While moderately rich, there's a sleekness to the fruit, energized by a juicy acidity, and cut through by a lightly savory, woodsy streak that helps rein in the finish. Aged up to 18 months in small oak barrels.
