35% Lagrein, 40% Merlot, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon
JAMES SUCKLING 92 POINTS - "For an entry-level wine this has a strikingly original nose of redcurrant, amarena cherry and pomegranate with a whiff of smoke. And on the medium-bodied palate, it effortlessly marries Mediterranean richness with a hint of Alpine freshness. The fine, moderately dry tannins are the secret ingredient that energizes the long, long expressive finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification. "
Winemaker Notes - "Bright, full ruby color. The initial aromatic sensation is of fruit, especially berries, giving way to spicy and savory aromas with a hint of liquorice and white and black pepper; tightly-knit on the palate with strong but supple tannins, an extremely moreish wine, almost Burgundian in its drinkability. Pair with fragrant Mediterranean-style first courses; fried, grilled or roast red meats."
Fermented in oak, cement, and stainless steel vats using native yeasts.
