Luxardo's own interpretation of a vermouth, from Girolamo Luxardo S.p.A. — the house founded in 1821 in Zara, Dalmatia, when Girolamo Luxardo and his wife Maria Canevari perfected Rosolio Maraschino and earned an exclusive "Privilege" from the Emperor of Austria in 1829; relocated to Torreglia, Padua in 1947, and still 100% family-controlled today. When Luxardo marasca cherries are harvested at the beginning of every summer, part of the juice is separated and left to mature until natural fermentation occurs; neutral alcohol is then added to stop fermentation at the desired level, the base is aged in oak vats, and herbs and spices are infused before filtering and bottling.

Color: Clear, deep burgundy red.

Aroma: Fruity and spicy — zesty citrus and white petal florals, with hints of dandelion and burdock.

Palate: Complex fruity and herbal character with white-pepper-led spice.

Finish: Long, bitter, herbal, and lightly spiced.

Awards: Gold Medal (95 points), Bartender Spirits Awards 2024; Silver, IWSC 2024.

Serve: Neat or over ice as an aperitivo, or in place of vermouth in classics — try the Milano-Torreglia with Luxardo Bitter Rosso and Angostura.

ABV: 16.5% (33 Proof)
