"This estate has long been a reference point for tank-fermented and -matured Chablis" - Kristaps Karlins, Wine Advocate

We recently received two fantastic Premier Cru Chablis bottlings from Louis Michel. They are terrific examples of what Chablis should be and this is a great opportunity to secure a few bottles from the outstanding 2020 and 2022 vintages.

White Burgundy is one of our favorite wines and the purest expression of Chardonnay comes from the great, cool climate appellation of Chablis. This delicious, mouth-watering style offers such transparency and transmits the racy minerality in a way that no other can.

Over the past several years, the wines of Louis Michel have become a staff and customer favorite. They offer everything you could want, exhibiting signature characteristics of Chardonnay from this region. These are the perfect wines to pair with oysters, shellfish, seafood or poultry or to refresh on its own.

We were able make a special purchase of the excellent Les Forets and Les Sechets vinyeards and can offer them at the lowest price in the nation!

The 2022 Sechets received a Wine Advocate score of 93 Points calling it, "concentrated and racy."

The Michel family has been making wines in the heart of Chablis since the 19th century and the domaine is now overseen by Guillaume Michel. Louis Michel & Fils were among the first to vinify its wines only in stainless steel tanks. This approach highlights the purity of the Chardonnay with these wines exuding finesse, purity and freshness.

The famous chalky Kimmeridgian of Chablis are deep and well-drained. The vines enjoy plenty of sunshine and produce a wine with sun-kissed aromas. This is the ultimate expression of a successful partnership between soil and climate resulting in powerful wines that are complex and balanced.

If you already tried the wines from Louis Michel, you know how good these wines are. Here is an opportunity to explore Premier Cru Chablis from a master. Grab them while you can. When they're gone, they're gone!

WINE ADVOCATE 93 POINTS - "The 2022 Chablis 1er Cru Séchets is exhibiting notes of white flowers, lemon peel and beeswax mingling with oyster shell. It is medium to full-bodied, concentrated and racy, with a long, pungently intense finish. Together with Butteaux Vieilles Vignes, it’s one of the highlights of Michel’s premiers crus. Guillaume Michel presides over this 25-hectare estate, with most of the land located in the historic part of Chablis. This estate has long been a reference point for tank-fermented and -matured Chablis, a style that the Michel family helped to popularize in the 1980s. Intense and tensile wines are the calling card here, pure and unadorned in style."
