DECANTER 95 POINTS - "On volcanic red soil, at 320 metres above sea level, Lisini’s Ugolaia plot represents the estate’s oldest vines. Ageing is in large Slavonian oak botti. Aromas of ripe raspberry and strawberry are interwoven with a compelling accent of iron ore. The palate is glossy with ample sweet fruit and luscious, velvety tannins giving it an expansive figure, while soft yet tangy acidity gives a revitalising boost. It finishes with cocoa-dusted orange. This is hard not to like and really quite approachable. Drinking Window 2022 - 2035."
WINE SPECTATOR 95 POINTS - "Fragrant aromas of incense and sandalwood lead to cherry, strawberry and kirsch flavors on the palate, underlined by dense tannins and a touch of mineral. It all comes together nicely on the long, fruit- and spice-tinged finish. Best from 2024 through 2042."
